For English text please scroll down.

Anna Ceeh.

In the fast-forward world of art, in the hunt for glossy sensations, installation brings back the concept of the privilege of the piece and amputates it from the public perception common at exhibitions and art fairs. Physically, viewers remain in the public sphere, but he or she is simultaneously located, as the only one, in a single private, intimate moment of discovery. Building and creating parallel realities that bypassthe mainstream is essential, it reconfigures not just ones own reality inside the art world and perception, but also the known ways of constructing it.

MOTA — Museum On Tour Austria, developed as a hybrid between museum and art work, presents МИРМИРУ — FRIEDE” in cooperation with the art label XXXXi̶s̶m̶ TOSHAIN/MAKOWSKY/CEEH (Sofia — Vienna — St. Petersburg).

The collective has set themselves the goal of sending out a message of peace to the world and has invited a number of international artists to create a slogan — among them Lawrence Weiner, Olaf Nikolai, Parastou Forouhar and Kendell Geers. The messages are written on protective vests coated with a special black military-infrared colour. They are worn by soldiers standing in line like a guard of honour and can only be seen with a night-vision device. Using the night-vision telescope, one becomes part of the installation and the hidden artist statements can clearly be read in white writing on the black protective vests.

This performative artwork, made of people, was to be seen in public spaces in the city of Vienna in 2016 (Stephansdom, Karlsplatz, Main Railwaystation, Museums Quarter) and confronts it’s audience — passers-by, tourists and art-fans, unexpectedly in the middle of the city. A new, non-material artspace is formed. The messages of peace leave the rigid form of an exhibition area and take up positions right at the cutting edge — they pulse on the human bodies of the performers — the body as a blackboard, projection screen and placard, all at once.

MOTA – Museum On Tour Austria and XXXXi̶s̶m̶TMC are taking the best-known art exhibition in the world – La Biennale di Venezia – „VIVA ARTE VIVA“ as an opportunity for the anti-war performance “МИР МИРУ FRIEDE“, an artistic message of peace to the world! Since 2012 we have been acting internationally by means of guerilla performances liberated from the conventional practices of art and exhibitions.

When avant-garde is integrated into the official programme of conventional galleries and museums, it is transformed into a spectacle. For this reason our performance on 10-12 May 2017 is deliberately unorthodox, both in the grounds of the Biennale and also in the city itself, for all of us.

Supported by Santo Krappmann and the performance team. Dedicated to Kasimir Malevich.

Performances: 10 — 12 May 2017, Giardini, Arsenale, Piazza San Marco

By(e) Arte By(e)!

What do you expect from the blind who laughing at themselves call each other ‘blinders’. It is they who ironically look at the truth right in the eye. They also take pictures, professionally work with video files, paint daub non-stop not worse than any abstract expressionists; their defying behavior is too full-fledged in the eyes of healthy community. Now these impudent blinders are hopping into private minibus to enter into navigator the coordinates of the epicenter of the world contemporary art — Biennale in Venice. Well, we should see this carnival as well, and we want to watch it live.

Illegal project ‘Just Pass By’, a cooperation of the visually impaired and creative team of Ruslan Vashkevich, is starting at this very second. Sparing no effort It is to dig visual field of six countries with the project’s climax in highly prized (and over-priced) art-Disneyland on muddy waters. Fully realizing they are a square peg in round hole both for downtrodden National pavilion and for Biennale snobbish top management, passers-by(e) with big relief refused to be a part of this crazy attraction booked for many years ahead, this time with curators’ slogan VIVA ARTE VIVA! /Long live the living art!/.

Instead of inclusion into Biennale decorations to accompany the routine of traditional scenario the blind preferred to scan and comment on the situation independently; to march through the marshes of this bureaucratic event destroying its over-a-century routine with their martial arts. Only this honest true cockney kick door open visit without an official invitation not blurred with exquisite champagne will free the most of living energy from art-chaos of mass- and elite art. Will ARTE VIVA survive this highly intuitive and extra sensory interrogation where the third eye works for the two external ones?

The training base for forming this very third eye viewpoint will be the territories of Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Germany. The logistics of transit Vashkevich’s group ‘Pass By!’ trip is aimed to bring the visual hunger of starving blinders to lethal extreme, so that they could read implicit codes, decipher the interventions and optical failures, world ideas and other people’s idle on-looking as objects of their own third eye research.

The artist in his turn is not going to give his cutthroats’ receptors a moment’s rest. The blind are supposed to walk long distances and march along dangerous roads. They will have non-stop dialogues and will be attacked with embarrassing questions; intentionally unadapted excursions and eagerness to cooperate as equals. Such conditions would make anyone go crazy but not these six blinders. They are fully aware that they got into the story about endless reserves of human capital — that’s what they are retransmitting. And they are ready to become guides of an anarchy project with personal super task.

‘Pass By!’ turns on the switch, and from now on starts its autonomous living; that is reflected only in micro blog of the project. To follow or not to follow the blinders online — the choice is evident.
